The final week of the X-Wing Summer League is over, with some interesting teams being fielded, most of which contained new ships/upgrades from Wave 7.
With the recent release of the Imperial Raider, as well as Wave 7, I decided that it was time for me to actually try using Huge ships and the rules for Epic. I am an Imperial player and luckily I knew someone that had a large Rebel fleet as well as the CR90; Tony. Neither of us had played a game of X-Wing using the rules for Huge ships, but rather than play using a more sensible number of points on each side, we went with 800 points each!

Week Four of the X-Wing Summer League has just finished. Loki added another good result (2nd) with his double YT-1300 list to his impressive run of results so far (1st, 1st and 2nd). That puts him on top of the league going into the final week. However, it is still possible for Jack or Tim (that’s me!) to catch him.
Our X-Wing Miniatures Summer League has started with some interesting squadrons being fielded, including two teams that were made up solely of TIE Interceptors!

We’ve got a crazy amount of stuff coming in today including X-Wing restocks, boardgames, collectible minis, YGO Heroclix, and even an Adventure Time card game.
Boardgames include Five Tribes – Here, in a unique twist on the now-standard “worker placement” genre, the game begins with the meeples already in place – and players must cleverly maneuver them over the villages, markets, oases, and sacred places tiles that make up Naqala. How, when, and where you dis-place these Five Tribes of Assassins, Elders, Builders, Merchants, and Viziers determine your victory or failure.
1944 Race to the Rhine is a new game experience. You can’t win this game without proper planning. Your tanks need gas to move and ammo to fight. But don’t forget to feed your GIs. So what would be your transport priority?
In Adventure Time: Card Wars – BMO vs. Lady Rainicorn each turn, a player has two Action Points to spend on Creatures, Spells, and Locations, and cards cost between 0 and 2 Action Points to play. When you summon a Creature, you choose which lane you want to place it in; some Creatures have FLOOP abilities that allow you to use their special abilities. When you attack with a Creature down a lane, you might find an opposing Creature, or you might get to deal your damage straight to your opponent’s Hit Points. Reduce your opponent’s Hit Points from 25 to 0 and you’re the Cool Guy (and you win the game)!
Splendor is a fast-paced and addictive game of chip-collecting and card development. Players are merchants of the Renaissance trying to buy gem mines, means of transportation, shops—all in order to acquire the most prestige points. If you’re wealthy enough, you might even receive a visit from a noble at some point, which of course will further increase your prestige.
Restocks include 7 Wonders, Legion of Honor, Robinson Crusoe, Russian Railroads, Star Trek Attack Wing, and more!
